CNC Setter/Operator

Aberlink have a policy of manafacturing in-house as many components for our products as possible. As such we have our own machine shop with primarily CNC machining centres, but also CNC and Manual lathes and manual milling machines. The vast majority of components are made from aluminium.

We currently have a vacancy for a CNC setter/operator with also the possibility to do some programming. Previous programming experience is not essential as full training will be given.

The succesful applicant must be able to work independently in a small, friendly environment. Previous experience of using manual machines would also be an advantage.

Application/Service Engineer

We currently require a high calibre engineer to install and support our CMM products at customers' sites throughout the UK. Tasks will include training customers to use the Aberlink 3D measuring software, training and supporting overseas agents, as well as calibrating and servicing the CMM's at customer sites. The successful applicant will also be required to offer support for sales by means of product demonstrations, and attending exhibitions etc. They will be expected to take on significant responsibility within the company and be required to travel extensively within the UK and occassionally abroad.

Previous experience of CMM's is not essential, although the right person must have an analytical mind and be good at problem solving, sometimes in pressurised situations.
