Aberlink's CCD camera system offers a non-contact measurement facility on a CMM. A telecentric lens gives distortion-free images on the monitor. Automatic edge detection allows the camera to be used in manual or CNC mode. The lens is adjustable so that working distance can be varied from 130mm to infinity. At 400mm the field of view is a huge 35mm. A fully controllable 16 LED light ring is built into the camera and a clever magnetic, kinematic design allows the probe and camera to be changed in just seconds.
